Glengarry Documentary Kickstarter Announced

TRADITION: A STORY FROM GLENGARRY

12 O'Clock Productions announces their crowdfunding campaign for a documentary to be filmed around Glengarry County Ontario over the next year.

TRADITION: A STORY FROM GLENGARRY - A film following the community Glengarry as they gear up for their annual Highland Games in 2022, which has been canceled for the past two years.

Producer Mike Lalonde;

'the hope for this film is to not only showcase the grand community of the Highland Games but to showcase Glengarry County, a proud community with ingrained values of compassion and care for one's neighbour. A mixed group of hard working people with a long history dating back to the founding of the nation of Canada.'

As Glengarry county has evolved over the years, so to have the Highland Games in Maxville. What was once a proud tradition for a couple of Scots has now turned into a focal point of pride for a county and for thousands from around the world. For the 20,000 who show up to this town of 800, some no longer having the ancestral blood nor having roots in the area, all return year after year bonded by the music, sports and to be apart of the community that takes part in the event.

From the volunteers who organize, to the dancers, pipers, heavyweights that participate and the spectators who come from far and wide to take in the pageantry that is the Glengarry Highland Games... All wait in anticipation to see what 2022 will bring.

Meet the People, learn the Traditions, understand the History and the meaning of it all...
